NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND TOWN BOARD MEETING
Town of Greenport                      
            PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that at 5:45 p.m. on July 5, 2023 at 600 Town Hall Drive, Greenport New York, the Greenport Town Board shall hold a public hearing on whether to grant a junkyard license to Brothers Recycling and Carting in accordance with Section 78-6 of the Town Code. The license will permit a metal recycling facility to be located at Lonestar Road, approximately 900 feet north of the intersection with NYS Route 23B. The facility proposes to purchase and temporarily store ferrous and non-ferrous metals and then transport such materials off-site to a larger metals recycling and processing facility.  The junkyard application and other documents concerning the proposal are on file with the Town Clerk and are available for public inspection.   The hearing will give people the opportunity to voice their concerns and comments and also submit written comments to the Deputy Town Clerk, Clarine Kyte at the address above or emailed to deputyclerk@townofgreenport.com no later than Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 12:00 P.M..
