Just a reminder that if you live in the refuse district in the Town of Greenport you are required to have a sticker on your garbage bags.  Effective Monday July 6th if you do not have a tag on your garbage bags you will be at risk for your garbage not being picked up.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Town Hall is open our hours are as follows:
Monday 8:30am - 3:00pm
Tuesday - Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm

NYS DOT is scheduled to begin paving work on Route 23B starting Monday June 22nd. 
 
The following streets in Greenport will be closed at the intersections with 23B:  
Janis Street
Milo Street
Becraft Avenue
Hudson Street

Local traffic only will be allowed.  Closing will take place between the hours of 7:00am and 4:00 or 5:00pm - depending on DOT's work schedule.  The project time frame is 3 to 4 days total.

There will be a public hearing on July 1, 2020 @ 6:45pm to discuss Local Law # 2 amending Town Code to include ban on the use of mulch on commercial properties (Local law can be read in the link below).

The Town Board meeting will begin right after the Public Hearing ends.
