NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND TOWN BOARD MEETING
Town of Greenport                      
            PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that at 5:45 p.m. on July 5, 2023 at 600 Town Hall Drive, Greenport New York, the Greenport Town Board shall hold a public hearing on whether to grant a junkyard license to Brothers Recycling and Carting in accordance with Section 78-6 of the Town Code. The license will permit a metal recycling facility to be located at Lonestar Road, approximately 900 feet north of the intersection with NYS Route 23B. The facility proposes to purchase and temporarily store ferrous and non-ferrous metals and then transport such materials off-site to a larger metals recycling and processing facility.  The junkyard application and other documents concerning the proposal are on file with the Town Clerk and are available for public inspection.   The hearing will give people the opportunity to voice their concerns and comments and also submit written comments to the Deputy Town Clerk, Clarine Kyte at the address above or emailed to [email protected] no later than Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 12:00 P.M..

The Assessor's Office will be closed Wednesday, June 21st and will re-open Monday, June 26th at 9am.

The concert scheduled for tonight at the Greenport Town Park has been cancelled due to the inclement weather.  The Band, Downtown Horns has been rescheduled for August 25, 2023.

  Please be advised that the public will not be able to join into our Town Board meeting tonight virtually due to computer issues.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.   Minutes from our meeting will be posted on our website in about 5 days and you are welcome to come into the Town Clerk's office and obtain a copy.

     The Town of Greenport will hold a Town Board meeting on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at the Greenport Town Hall, 600 Town Hall Drive, Hudson, New York 12534 at 6:00 P.M..   The meeting will be preceded by a workshop meeting at 5:00 P.M.
