                                                TOWN BOARD MEETING
 
     The Town of Greenport will hold a Town Board meeting on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at the Greenport Town Hall, 600 Town Hall Drive, Hudson, New York 12534 at 6:00 P.M..   The meeting will be preceded by a workshop meeting at 5:00 P.M. 
           The Town is allowing  the public to join in person at the Greenport Town Hall.  You may also join us virtually at meet.google.com/jmd-tprs-var or join us by phone at (US) +1 401-589-5421  PIN: 939244108 or submit written comments to the Town Board, Attn: Sharon Zempko Town Clerk at the address above or via email to [email protected] and must be received no later than Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 12:00 P.M.  Items that we will be discussing are the Tentative Budget for 2024 and setting the date for a public hearing on the Budget.  Also, hiring a person for the Maintenance Dept. auctioning off a backhoe from the Water/Sewer Dept.  and a resolution for bonding of the Water project.

The Assessor's Office will be closed for training from October 2nd to October 6th.

​Flushing to Begin:
The Town of Greenport will be flushing hydrants during daytime hours (6:00 am-2:30 pm) on October 12-13, 2023.  Flushing will continue during evening hours (9 pm-5 am) from Sunday evening-Friday morning, beginning Sunday, October 15, 2023 and continuing through Friday, November 3, 2023.  After that, flushing will take place during daytime hours as of November 6 and will continue until completed.  Residents should plan accordingly.

Email Blasts:

In an effort to keep our residents advised, the Town of Greenport Water/Wastewater Department has created an email distribution list for residents of the Town which we will use to send alerts and notifications concerning this department.  If you know of a Town resident who would be interested in receiving these emails, please ask them to send an email to [email protected] with their contact information, property address and email address, and they'll be added to the list.  Thank you!

Residents and businesses are advised that a water break repair will take place on Thursday, September 14, 2023, beginning at 7 am.  The area affected includes Fairview Avenue south of Applebee's and north of Bagel Tyme, as well as Pulcher Avenue.  Please plan accordingly and please drive carefully through the area.
