The Town of Greenport will hold their monthly meeting on February 2, 2022 at the Greenport Town Hall at 600 Town Hall Drive, Hudson, New York.  The workshop meeting will start at 6:00 P.M. and will be followed by a Public Hearing at 6:45.  The hearing will be in regards to changing the date of Grievance Day, which is normally hold the fourth Tuesday, in May, to the first Tuesday after the fourth Tuesday in May each year, hereafter.
The regular Town Board meeting will begin at 7:00 P.M.  Some of the topics to be discussed and voted on will be:

#1-  A section 284 agreement relative to the expenditure of Highway Moneys for $400,000 for repair and improvements to Town Highways,
#2-  Voting on Local Law #1-2022 to pass or reject changing the date of Grievance Day.
#3-  To appoint Ray Jurkowski as Planning Board Engineer and as a consultant to the Town Board for special projects determined by the Town.

The Town of Greenport Assessor's office will be closed Monday, February 7th for training.  The office will be open Friday, February 11th 9 to 1pm.

The Town Board of the Town of Greenport is seeking a full-time Code Enforcement/Building Inspector.  Experience in field required.  Applicant will be hired as a Provisional Employee subject to Civil Service Examination seating.

  The Town of Greenport has received a supply of  covid masks and test kits. Supplies are limited.

       The skating rink is now open at the Greenport Town Park on Joslen Blvd, in Greenport.  Come have some outdoor fun this weekend. Bring your own skates and have a great time.

       The skating rink at the Greenport Town Park is open for skating at 2:00 p.m today, Thursday, January 13, 2022.

During the month of January we will be picking up Christmas trees.  Trees with decorations, stands, or lights will not be picked up.  Trees can also be dropped off at the Highway garage at the south end of the lot in the designated area.

Reminder to all Greenport residents, during periods of snow, all motor vehicles are prohibited from parking on any Town Street.  L.L. No 7-2003 Failure to comply may end up with the vehicle being ticketed and if not removed within a period of six hours, towed at the owner's expense.

Town Hall has a limited supply of at home Covid test kits available.  There is two tests per box.  If you are experiencing any symptom's please do not come in to Town Hall.  We are limiting two kits per household.
