Garbage Bags in varied sizes are available for purchase for both Town of Greenport (green) bags and County Transfer Station (gray) bags.  We are no longer selling $1.00 (13 gallon) green (Town) bags or $2.00 (30 gallon) green (Town) bags.  Instead, we are selling stickers for the following

Yellow stickers ($1.00 each) to be placed on store-bought 13 gallon bags.  Weight limit is 15 pounds for the 13 gallon bags

Green stickers ($2.00 each)  to be placed on your own 30 gallon bags, with a 30 pound weight limit.

Dog Licenses
In the Town of Greenport you are required to license  all dogs over the age of 4 months.  Dog licenses may be obtained at the Town Clerk's Office: 

spayed/neutered $11.00

unaltered   $18.00. 

Proof of Rabies vaccination ( including the manufacturer name for the serum and serum Lot Number)  for your dog is required at the time of making an application for a dog license.

Hunting & Fishing Licenses
Hunting & fishing licenses can be purchased at the Greenport Town Office (or from any town clerk in New York State).

Marriage Licenses
Marriage licences may be purchased from any town clerk in New York State for $40.00.  Licenses must be obtained 24 hours before the marriage ceremony and are valid for 60 days. Couples must visit the town clerk in person and present photo ID and divorce papers (indicating FILED DATE)  from any/all prior marriages.)   Couples are requested to appear prior to 2:30 PM.  Later appointments are considered upon request (828-4656 X1, then X3)
