V & O Press wall plaque honoring Veterans to be dedicated at the Town Park
A ceremony was held at the Greenport Town Park on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. to honor our local Veterans and to dedicate a plaque which was formerly at the V & O Press building. The new owner of the V & O Press, Mr. Harbalwant Singh, kindly donated the plaque to the Town and Cantele Memorials mounted it on a stone. Everyone is invited to the dedication.

The Final Assessment Roll for 2012-13 was filed with the Town Clerk on 30 June 2012.The Town of Greenport & Columbia County Assessment and property inventory information are available online. To view this information

Property assessments can be accessed by name, however, property inventory information can be accessed by tax map number or location only.
Notice from the Highway Department
Brush pick up will be on MONDAYS ONLY.
Brush piles may be no larger than 6 feet long by 4 feet high for pick up.
Removal of all tree work performed by Commercial Tree Services is the responsibility of the Commercial Tree Service and/or the Property Owner.
Any questions regarding brush pick up should be directed to the Greenport Highway Department 828-1644.

Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday April 4, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. on the proposed changes to Local Law 118.

At a meeting of the Greenport Town Board on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, the following Ordinance was presented. It will be published on Friday, April 22nd, 2011 and will be effective 10 days after publication.
Dog Licensing
If you are harboring an unlicensed dog, please come to the Greenport Town Hall to get your dog licensed as mandated by NYS Law and Greenport Town Code.
Licensing fees are as follows:
- Spayed or Neutered $11.00
- Unaltered $18.00
Please bring current rabies certificate and proof of spay or neutering. New dog tags will be issued for all dogs.
