Garden Club

The Greenport Garden Club was organized in March, 1976 by Mrs. John Weinman.   The Club has 22 active members, 5 associate members and 2 honorary members.  The Club Flower is the Violet.  The Garden Club participates in Education and Outreach programs and supports our community through Civic Beautification and Garden Therapy.

The Greenport Graden Club presents a cash award yearly to a graduating Hudson High School Student to apply toward career preparation in the field of agriculture, agronomy, botany, floriculture, forestry horticulture environment studies, landscape design or natural resource conservation.  The award is primarily funded by General Roll Leaf President, Peter Budelman, who has pledged to support this program for five years.

Additionally, The Club will sponsor and pay tuition and travel expenses for one or more eligible junior high school students at Camp Colby's Saranac Lake, New York  for a one week environmental program given by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.  Mr. Peter Budelman, General Roll Leaf President, has offered to sponsor a student.
